Earlier today we held a press conference call with Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) on the new federal textbook affordability law. 

The speakers talked about how the new law will help curb skyrocketing prices by limiting some of the worst publisher practices, namely bundling and withholding price info from professors, and how it will help students save money by providing advance notice of what books are required for each course.  We also discussed the next step in the fight for affordable textbooks - open textbooks!
